I need help from someone smarter than me. (Iraq caualties)
Edited on Tue Jan-09-07 09:59 PM by TomInTib
I am way over my head when it comes to consolidating info from a site.

Could any of my fellow DUers go to:

www.icasualties.org (or any other site) and tell me how many dead and how many wounded we have incurred in Iraq between the dates of 20Mar2003 and 23Oct2006?

I have a tee shirt that proclaims 'Bush Lied' (front), 'They Died' (back), with a list (front and back) of the Dead during aforesaid timeframe.

I am getting some very positive reactions while wearing the tee, but I get a few flinty glares, as well.

While not expecting any real problems (I do not look like someone who your average chickenhawk would ever dare challenge - even tho I am really nice, I promise), I would like to be able to reply with a credible statement and not sound like John Fund Or Bill O'Weirdo.

Thanks for any help that I might receive from the More Enlightened among us.

Tom

1. Break out your calculator
There's a column on the left side a little down called "Military Fatalities: By Month." It lists the casualty numbers for each month. Do the math based on that...or, even easier, start with last month and add the casualties until November 2006, and then subtract from the total.

2. I knew it...
Someone would make some kind of sense.

Might as well be you, Pitt.

I believe that I owe you something, but I forgot the questions.

4. Hey, Mac
I have gotten sick and tired of being sick and tired.

So I am taking it to the street.

My own little theater in my own little town.

I am part of our local Economic Development Committee (and that is serious business, here) and I know pretty much everyone in town and I have had it and I am going to stay in their collective faces for as long as it takes.

I may soon have my own militia of very wealthy elderly women.

Look out, Flyboy (and you do know that I use that as a compliment, now, don't you? - wasn't always that way. I wanted to be up there in those planes so damned bad and I just hated you guys because you had that freedom - and speed - and a way out of there).

5. gotta watch out for those little old ladies
they have a lot of pull. I would not want to cross them. (Thinking of the LOLs in the Audubon Society, etc.)

Hi, from several counties north of you.
