Can someone please tell me what happened with The Boondocks?
I know it went on hitaus for six months and was suppose to come back some time in October, but October rolled around and it never came back. I just recently read that it was cancelled, does anyone know why? It seemed to be a fairly popular strip.

1. Magruder just threw in the towel.
I suppose his hiatus was more enjoyable than he anticipated.

2. No One's Really Sure
Universal Press Syndicate in Kansas City has repeatedly tried to get McGruder to come back, but he has refused to do so. The animated version, on Adult Swim, has a second season in the works, and you can see the comic online at gocomics.com/boondocks. It updates daily and still credits McGruder, but it may be written and drawn by new people. Every article I've read guessed that McGrudder had "gone Hollywood", somewhat like Dave Chapelle. It's difficult to understand that mindset, isn't it?

3. welcome to DU RG! (here's a link to McGruder on Tavis Smiley)
The Tavis Smiley Show, August 6, 2004 · NPR's Tavis Smiley checks in with Aaron McGruder, the creative force behind the comic strip The Boondocks, about his political views -- and why you shouldn't pay them any mind. He also talks about the new projects he's got on the back burner.

5. The ones at gocomics.com
look like reruns, I think I've read the one already. So he's still going to do the show, but he stopped the comic?

as was the strip but if he's going to stop one for the other then he'd better get going with that second season because the wife and I can't go without any longer.
