Neil Young Releases New Version of "Living With War" - "In The Beginning" (Orig. raw versions)

In late 2006, Young released a version of the album made up of the songs as they were originally mixed immediately following their recording. No remixing was done and the vocal choir overdubs that were added a week later aren't present; what you get is a look at the project in it's raw state. Also included in the package is a DVD that presents documentary video footage of the sessions. -- allmusic.com

2. Shoot...is that the new cover or the first one?
I just bought my dad the one with the brown paper bag style cover for Christmas. Oh well, I suppose they are essentially just as good.

4. This is the new cover. If he didn't have the original, then that is probably the one to get him.
The chorus is nice to have. I imagine the new version sounds more like a straight Crazy Horse album.

3. Niel Young's site has videos of some early sessions
of the 10 songs on the album (plus a free play of the whole album). The links are on the right site of this page: http://www.neilyoung.com/lwwtoday/index.html . Plus, down the middle column, videos to accompany the finished versions (like segments from "An Inconvenient Truth" to go with the "After the Garden"). And news and links to mp3s of the music created by many others progressives artists.

You can spend some rewarding time there.
