Pros: Great speaker/debater; speaks plainly. Intelligent. Great leader. Young, but not too young (not bad looking).
Cons: Jewish Senator.

Pros: Military credentials that are second to no one. Good looking. Not a congressperson. Great representative. Good speaker.
Cons: Former Republican. Lacks political experience.

6. Clark is not a former Republican!

Yeesh. Haven't we been through this? Although I wouldn't consider it a "con" if he were. An actual former Republican putting forth the kind of liberal program Clark is advocating would be a real problem for the GOP.

I think Feingold's major "con," besides being a senator, is ridiculous but real -- the fact that he's single. Being divorced is no longer an issue, but people seem to like a little family-values tableau in the WH.

negotiating with 19 countries' Top leaders to get them all on the same page is nothing but "political".....

and running for President in 2004 is also a political chore. Considering that Wes wasn't covered by the media after Iowa's results....he still was the only candidate to win a state that wasn't his Home/birth state except for John Kerry. Considering his 4 months run, he did damn well in the political arena!

Beyond that experience, I'd rather he not have too much political experience! Selling your soul to the highest bidder and droning on and on is the only advantage some of the pols have over non pols.

Ending Government Corruption will be accomplished by an outsider much more affectively!

Bush is a politician.....and I'm not impressed! :hi:

13. I think the last thing that people want in 2008 is a career politician.

Now we can discuss the merits of such a sentiment, but I don't think after all of these scandals and all of this mismanagement by our "professional" politicians that voters are going to be looking for a typical politician. Someone like a Warner or a Clark with relatively little political experience or a complete maverick like Feingold.

These results are no surprise coming from Daily Kos. Saying that Feingold and Clark are the DailyKos darlings is like calling Bush corrupt - it's been obvious for some time now.

of course its unscientific, but so what. I think it gives a glimpse of where some of the most active of activist Democrats are at this point. If it were a mainstream Gallup poll (or whatever) Hillary would be leading.

vote for Senator Clinton in their respective primaries, and this may account for her poor finish in this poll, but even still, it's a poor showing and it may mean that the nomination is not hers. The left-of-center voters love primaries and they show up in large numbers in places like Iowa.
