Neil Bush Propaganda for Schools on Habeas Corpus

YouTube Ignite Learning Habeas Corpus Hit Piece

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxYACTGPzAE

Neil Bush's company Ignite Learning is now producing propaganda justifying the suspension of Habeas Corpus under the guise of educational software sold to schools. The Bush family are now officially going after your kids.

2. This film says habeas is suspended at some times
with regard to non-citizens. But as Josa Padilla demonstrates, it has been suspended against US citizens as well.

This is an administration that puts itself above the law. Jose Padilla got to see a lawyer for the first time after several years of incarceration, and even then it was only an accident that allowed him that first lawyer visit.

How many other Jose Padillas are there locked up by BushCo?

5. Non-citizens is historically inaccurate, of course.
Many, if not most, of the Japanese-Americans interned during WWII were native-born American citizens--including all of my maternal uncles and aunts (my mom had the good luck to have moved from California to Chicago a few years before 1941).

This film is nothing but cheap propaganda for the neocon neofascists, needless to say. Neil Bush is a decadent scumbag, also needless to say. :grr:

8. Impeach now
locked up? How many have been executed? Also we are mainly talking about color of law and interpertation here. The troop deployement in Iraq made by Bush is unconstitutional because no war has been declared. The congress said it gave him the right to do it but they cant without a constitutional amendment or a declaration of war. He did it anyway why? Because thats how he interrupted it. So it doesnt matter all that much what the law says anyways just how it is carried out. We need to IMPEACH immediately www.impeachnow.us

3. What is says is true...
What it doesn't say is that BushCo was already ruled against by SCOTUS and the battle is on-going. It implies only history has a right to decide.

Good for dailykos.com for nailing it down.

6. If you grow up thinking such things are "normal" and "just the way it is"
then you'll be silent about the outrages as an adult....

Such indoctrination started long before now.

10. On the bright side
this thing is so dull and poorly put together that no student is ever going to pay attention to it.

It will be the boring backdrop to a thousand high school spit-wads.

11. I don't think this is aimed at high schools...
Looks more like elementary school propaganda to me. What a pile of crap.
