The Bush land purchase in Paraguay
This has been kicking around for a couple of months now. There does seem to be some basis in fact for the contention that the Bush family and very likely George W. himself has purchased a massive amount of land in Paraguay near the border with Brazil and Bolivia. There are only two possibilities:

1. This is the wildest conspiracy theory yet and is entirely spun out of moon beams.

2. There is a huge story here which no one in the MSM is discussing.

Which is it?

1. It's also possible that it is true and no one cares.

2. Surely you joke!
I can remember the papers making a fuss over the presents Clinton bought for Hillary at Christmas.

10. It doesn't make you the least little bit curious that a sitting President
buys thousands of acres in a foreign country and no one seems to notice?

13. Isn't it something like 100 thousand acres?
This isn't just a small spread of a few thousand but a vast tract of land, on an enormous aquafer? This is in preparation for the water wars ahead perhaps?

:scared:

29. lol you don't really think that do you? -
- I don't think the Bushes would be too worried about ensuring their continued supply of water. I could definitely see them building up a Strategic Martini Reserve for the familiy though.

11. Liquid gold, but not oil
H2O, by most accounts. The land sits on one of the largest remaining aquafers on the planet. In a few years, it may very well be one of the last untapped source of potable water in the western hemisphere.

8. The coming water shortages will make the quest for oil seem like a picnic
And without water, food is sorta hard to come by too.

Yes, the very rich will need hide outs that can be easily defended. They are building them now.

7. the region is on top of the largest fresh water source in south america
and possibly the world. Fresh water is more valuable than even oil, and will be the center of global conflict in years to come as population increases and the demand on a finite supply gets tighter.

9. Know a man who works with water issues in an agricultural state.
He recommends filing for the water rights for the dew off your tin roofs NOW. Bright chap and he is looking at the adjudication coming down the pike for food producers. We are in trouble, folks.

12. The very rich plan ahead
They are up to something - this isn't the same as buying Hillary a Christmas present - it is an obvious business decision. Maybe there is a little tinfoil in the concept that it is to provide a safe haven from war crimes prosecutions, but only a little. :tinfoilhat:

14. Who owns the media is WHY they aren't talking about it.
The media is owned by friends/business associates of the Bushes.

They have essentially taken our media hostage.

17. At the very least, it should question the White House's view toward South America
I would think the media would be asking how this purchase might skew the White House's policies toward South America. If a sitting POTUS holds large tracts of land in a foreign country, how would this affect that POTUS's foreign policy toward that country, region, or continent?

19. AFAIK, the land purchase falls into the category of rumor.
A newspaper quotes as authoritative a Cuban newspaper saying that S. American newspapers are reporting that a local governor heard a rumor. Doesn't matter what the paper trail says, it goes back to rumor.

There are already far too many rumors in the media that are taken as fact. We don't need yet another.

21. Look at the neighboring landowner --Rev Sun Myung Moon
Moon and his Unification Church are huge land owners in the area where the Bush Family allegedly made their massive land purchase. Moon was well aware of the largest fresh water aquifer when the purchase was made, and if the Bush Family purchase info is accurate their purchase abuts the Moon property.

Moon and the Bush Family have many connections going way back.

24. I find it fascinating that no one seems to have picked up on this:
Paraguay has no extradition treaty with the US.

The Bush's bought the 100,000 acre Estancia as a refuge. If Bush starts having trouble with legal problems here...he can be quietly flown out of the country and live like a king down there...safe from US laws and penalties.

Lots of rumors about this, but some, like the above, seem to have legs and explanations.

30. Must be something to it. Bush sent Jenna to dine with Paraguayan President.
If the Bushes aren't afraid of launching an obviously illegal invasion of an innocent country, they aren't going to worry about being caught buying land next door to Rev Sun Myung Moon's redoubt. It's a great location, lots of water. So, they'll be able to survive Chimpageddon.
