More than 700 Iraqis die in last eight days of unrelenting violence

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) - The numbers are staggering: In the past eight days, 714 Iraqis have fallen victim to the country's sectarian bloodbath. They've been beheaded, tortured and blown up while looking for work. They've been shot, kidnapped and felled by mortars.

The number of killings in the past eight days is more than all but a few U.S. states see in a year. Iraq's death toll has reached at least 1,319 already in November, well above the 1,216 who died in all of October, which was the deadliest month in Iraq since The Associated Press began tracking the figure in April 2005.

At least 111 people were killed nationwide on Sunday, following a week of appallingly high daily death tolls: 134, 90, 119, 106, 49, 52 and 53.

The Blair and Bush administrations continue to say that there is no civil war in Iraq but the daily mortality figures tell another story.
How long will this carnage go on?

2. Until BushCo finishes killing every Iraqi
so that there is no one left to lay claim to their oil fields.

3. Out....now.
It's lose-lose no matter what they do now - in this terrible tragedy that the Coalition of the Killing should never have started - but to even begin to bring an end to this, the troops have got to leave.

4. My guess would be our men are not out with these guys.
This months death to Am. is down. Vacation in the Green Zone and send out the Iraqi. What a mess over in that country. I see no way but to leave and let them do as they like.

5. But I thought the Saddam Hussein verdict was a "turning point"
Geez, whenever we get to a 'turning point,' things get even worse.

Then there will be great celebration! I wonder if it will be on pay per view?
