Both of our Senators here in Texas are lost beyond redemption. The rest of you still have a chance.

1. Hey - they aren't appointed for life.
That's why it's our duty as Texans to do whatever we can to get them voted out. I am sick of both of those idiots - weasel Cornyn doesn't even take phone calls.

We can and we will turn Texas blue again. :hi:

7. Senator Box Turtle is completely unreachable to his constituents
He does not accept calls or respond to mail of any kind.
Even Senator Kay Bailey Airhead sends out form ltrs as response.

Box Turtle is as dumb as a load of bricks. Ron Kirk should have beat his ass good, that election was completely rigged, I am certain of it. EVERYONE wanted Kirk.

Box Turtle is such a freakin' embarrassment, and has shown himself to be a delusional RACIST today as well.

:puke:

2. Not true. Even if we fail we will have fought.
And found out how good it feels to be on our feet and off our knees.

3. Bullshit: the fight is enough
Even if we lose, we have more ammo for calling Repuiblicans the RUBBER-STAMP CONGRESS, which is our winning ticket this November. Filibuster is win-win.

8. If filibuster fails, we continue working to get them un-elected.
To regain control of our country. It will happen, eventually.

10. We have made a stand and a fight for America..........
if tyranny still prevails then it's the people's fault and we have to take matters into our own hands. I hope it doesn't come to that?

12. Oh, stop with the negative posts--"we're lost" if this happens or that...
happens. You want people to give up on our democracy? Our country and our democracy are NEVER lost, as long as democratic ideals live on in peoples' hearts--and as long as we NEVER GIVE UP.

There is a solid 60/40 anti-Bush majority in this country--that is, a HUGE PROGRESSIVE MAJORITY--confirmed in poll after poll, and statistic after statistic--issue polls (on the Iraq war, on torture, on the deficit, on Social Security, on women's rights, on you name it!), approval polls (Bush UNDER 40% almost all year--approval ratings so low before the election that Zogby said he could not win), registration figures (60/40 blowout Democratic success in 2004), and on and on. A solid, persevering, unshakable majority--despite relentless propaganda and fearmongering.

This great progressive American majority has been hoodwinked into believing that it is a minority--by the war profiteering corporate news monopolies giving a Big Trumpet to a rightwing minority to promulgate its views way out of proportion to its numbers. That's what happening. We have a systematically disempowered, demoralized, and, above all, DISENFRANCHISED majority.

If we are able to throw Diebold and ES&S election theft machines into 'Boston Harbor'--as we need to do--then we START OFF with a 60/40 majority, to reform this country as it has never been reformed before.

Starting with the impeachment of Bush's criminally appointed Supreme Court--or adding justices to that court, or limiting their terms, or making them electable, as we wish. Busting up the news monopolies (long overdue). Reducing the US. offensive war capability by 90% (long overdue).

There is no limit to what we can do IF WE CAN RESTORE ELECTION TRANSPARENCY and OUR RIGHT TO VOTE.

So, instead of throwing up your hands--"we're lost!"--over one battle in a long term revolutionary fight, re-commit yourself to democracy and get to work!

13. I've heard all this before
Yes, we need our right to vote restored - but we can't keep acquiescing to those who control the ballot boxes.

And I'm so furious at Lieberman that I could spit fireballs. Him and his Gang of 14.

"Buckle up your seatbelts, Dorothy, because Kansas is going bye-bye."
