I noticed that when I use 10-10-987 or one of those types of numbers and THEN 1-xxx-xxx-xxxx (yeah, I like 3 cents/minute deals) I get through easier than if I dial the number directly.

What an embarrassment to our state and to Princeton that this liar and his dishonorable colleagues, like Rummy and Perle, are! I called Menendez, and explained how important it is to the liberal majority in NJ that our democratic senators stand up to the bullying cons. I will call Lautenberg and others fence-sitters in other states too. I went to Lautenberg's webform already.

I am not one of your constituents, but I am writing to you because this issue effects every citizen across this nation. I am writing to ask you to please support the filibuster of Samuel Alito. Alito's views on executive power are most definitely outside the mainstream. We are facing the threat of a unitary presidency. I believe the future of the republic is at stake with this nomination.

There are times when we are faced with a choice - stand up for what is right or bow to pressure to go along to get along. This is one of those times.

I urge you to stand up for what is right. Oppose Alito's nomination and support the filibuster.

(Oh, and on Lieberman's I added "If ever there were a time to start acting like a Democrat, this is it." I can't stand him.)

I know you are probably overwhelmed, as I am, with what is happening, but one
more time, PLEASE call the Democratic senators Monday toll-free at
1-877-851-6437. Tell them you SUPPORT the filibuster!! Word has it that due to
overwhelming response to the Alito situation, many Senators have full voicemails
or have turned them off due to all the calls!!! So below, I have listed
