Democracy is dead!!! Unsecured voting machines in Florida-video
I got an e-mail this morning. My friend Chris Hrabovsky, who is running for the Florida statehouse. held a meet and greet at a local library. It is also the site for early voting.

These machines are still in use for early voting.

You ain't gonna believe it. Forward this all over the country.

1. Humble request from a Firefox user...
could you re-post this in the Video Forum w/ embedded video link?

None of the youtube links posted on DU seem to work.

8. Repubs are saying
You'll take what we give you. What are you gonna do about it.

These machines were in use for 10 days already, and will be used through today. Two days after the video was shot.

The same thing happened 2 years ago in Pinellas, where a church had the machines stored in the ladies room a week before the election!

11. How about we get a thousand people to sit down on the floor
in Deborah Clark's office on Tuesday? This is disgusting.

16. Dr. Phool - I am happy to see you FIGHTING for your elections...
In my neck of the woods (Indiana) we don't have 'voting machines left unsecured at the local library' -- we have SLEEPOVERS -- today, in the vast majority of the state, Republicans will pick up the voting machines and take them home with them until Tuesday morning when they will take them to the polls.

Be sure to council your party officials to do everything possible to detect tampering - including checking the machine audit logs and central tabulator audit logs...

I think the sit-in idea is GREAT!!

7. I just got back from voting for Chris (at least in theory). We should
demand the immediate resignation of Ms. Clark (Jeb's appointee). Jesus Christ, what a mess.

23. The election should be nullified. Got any good lawyers? This alone
should be enough evidence for an injunction that would demand hand counted paper! This is the place to make a stand. Everyone voting there should demand hand counted paper ballots that are under constant supervision and counted the same day under observation.

10. Why does the repuke party pretend to let us vote?
When it is sooooo obvious that the votes are of no import to repukes or to anyone else in this country. So what are the odds your vote is even counted? Seems like we have our American dictator already. What a banana republic we have turned into.

She'll push it to him. Demand a Senate investigation!

If Katherine Harris wins, we'll know why.

17. Keep in mind that tampering isn't necessary if the machines had rigged
software installed at the factory or last year or just before this election. Nelson (and others) should seize one or more machines the night of the election and have a forensic examination conducted by a security information specialist.

Keep pushin!

36. Some were the larger older ones, but
I doubt many schools have improved where they keep them, and unless someone (trustworthy) is hired by each precient- who guards them? The school janitors? They have a lot of work to do. After school lots of people are in and out of buildings for various acvtivites.

38. This deserved 130 recs. It is typical...I'll bet a majority of counties
and localities have piss poor security. There's a model system in Virignia in Norolk. The head of elections has serious security and checks in place. Nobody will get at his machines. The rest o the
state - well, I doubt it.

What a joke they make of our elections. Shame on them.
