Are YOU paying attention?

Over the next several days, in addition to working on two novels at the same time, I'm going to be trying to put together some new material as well as pulling out some of my old gems from the closet. Positive things (on our side, at least) in an attempt to counter some of the negativity we're seeing yet again from the distressed and discontented.

My "DOWN TO THE WIRE" post http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=2511445&mesg_id=2511445 outlines what I think is wrong with the whole "they've already stolen the election and they're going to declare martial law" attitude that's been so prevalent here lately.

No matter who you are, or what you say, someone's going to take issue with something occasionally. I can live with that. My well-reasoned response to most of it is "and you think I give a shit?"

Sometimes you have to "transcend the political" and stick your thumb in your opponent's eye. The Repugs (yeah, I called 'em Repugs...so what are YOU going to do about it? aren't afraid to pull out all the stops and smear crap all over the national stage.

So a few people get offended. That's politics.
