Question concerning Lieberman-Lamont race
Edited on Mon Oct-16-06 10:37 AM by Mass
I spend all my week-ends in Western Mass where they get the Hartford media.

During the last week-end, we have been submerged by ads for congressional races attacking Johnson and Simmons, paid either by their opponent or by the DCCC, but nothing concerning the Lieberman-Lamont race (and I have not seen anything since the primary). Of course, there is still the possibility that ads are shown between MOnday morning and Friday noon and not on the week-ends, but this does not seem very probable to me.

Does anybody know why? Is the campaign short of money? Is the Hartford area a safe zone for one of the candidate? Why is the DSCC or the campaign not investing there.

2. Maybe because they know.....
....it's a lost cause and the voters are going to sweep Clueless Joe back into office.

3. I would imagine the DSCC doesn't want to piss Joe off
I'm convinced he'll bolt if BushCo keeps the Senate, but I doubt the DSCC wants to hasten his departure.

and see ads for both about evenly split. However, I don't think any of them are paid for by the DSCC. But I thought Lamont didn't want any groups paying for his ads?

5. i hardly watch any TV
totally sick of the ads - but when the tube is on there are political ads on 80% of the time - I see lots for Ned and some for Joe. Joe still leads from what I am being told but I KNOW in my area the lamont lawn signs outnumber joelosers 5-1.
this is not a race we can give up on - Joe-shitforbrains is going to caucus with the Pugs - you know it and I know it
