"They want cheap oil, but not drilling." Frum on WJ.
Edited on Fri Oct-06-06 07:31 AM by Skidmore
This phrase exemplifies the thought processes of neocons. They have prescriptive plans and anyone who doesn't agree with them and who has an alternative idea is not countenanced. For him, it's drilling or nothing at all. End of discussion.

He's also upset because of the sharp polarization between parties, like he and those like him don't have a thing to do with the current state of affairs.

2. We need to break the addiction to Oil altogether
Then we don't have to drill everywhere and worry about oil prices.

4. Yup, and Dems need to hammer on a comprehensive
energy reform package and sell it during these campaigns while people are still open to it and not lulled by cheaper gas prices.

3. With the billions we are blowing in Iraq
we could have bought every American a Toyota Prius and significantly reduce our dependence on foreign oil .

5. Oh, youre so right about Frum
"...like he and those like him don't have a thing to do with the current state of affairs.

Frum, and people like him, are IMO some of the most insidious and dangerous types of Republicans out there.
He paints himself as trying to be the voice of reason, and able to impartially analyze both parties equally, and yet, things like "Axis of Evil" belong to him.

Right at this moment now, hes trying to spin the issue of people like him who support this ridiculous war yet wont encourage their own children to join the effort, as though its Democrats saying that childless people have no right to an opinion about this war. Im reasonably sure his lying ass knows that to be complete bullshit. The problem is, though, there are a lot of dumbass Americans out there who willingly fall for his act.

He's one of the worst.
