I have this theory that the neo cons conspired to re-invent the United States in THEIR image. Its a bit wild eyed, I admit, but it sure seems as though everything that has happened since the ape walked in has happened on purpose, for a reason, by design.

This whole administration from day one has been one gigantic, well thought out conspiracy, and that's more than just a wild eyed theory.

Look around you, this all happened on purpose, not by accident. There were very few bumps in the road for these jerks other than Katrina, but look at what has happened to our government and us. War, torture, piracy, totalitarianism, fascism, all according to plan.

1. Not wild eyed at all
If you study the PNAC charter and philosophies, they want a two class, totalitarian United States and World. They want to create an aristocracy in this country. The stupid part is how they have duped the little guy to follow along with their bull shit. I don't understand how the average American can support these monsters. Because even the claims about the moral majority have all played out to be completely opposite. Why can't these looser average income republicans see through the bull shit?

2. I agree. I think it was Newt Gingrich who said that the 60s cultural of
anti-establishment and societal freedoms offended him and made him afraid for the future of this country. I think if this country were returned to the social and societal mores of the 1950s, it wouldn't be far enough for the neocons. Have an elite class rule over the rest of us is the ultimate goal,IMO. And there are those who would be willing to be subject to an elite to avoid having to take responsibility for their lives (just as long it was a republican elite).

4. I agree entirely.
Except Katrina was not a bump in the road. The response to that storm was entirely in keeping with the PNAC ideals.

6. Simply put, the neocons have failed in everything they planned to do.

One should look at the objectives set out in Perle and Wurmser's 1997 "A Clean Break: A Strategy for Securing the Realm", written by American neocons for Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud Party. I don't think there's a snowball's chance in Hell that it's going to be accomplished, now.

A conquest of Iran was the ultimate goal. The exact sequencing was to take down Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and finally Iran. http://www.iasps.org/strat1.htm Instead, it Looks like they got bogged down at step one-and-a-half of that four-step agenda. While Saddam was removed and Hezbollah bombed, the cost was a loss of American AND Israeli military credibility and, with that loss, the power of deterrence. The power to deter, as any professional military officer or diplomat will tell you, is the most important element of maintaining stability essential to dominance by a leading power. Destabilization favors contenders, not the dominant states.

The plan was packaged for Netanyahu as a model for transforming Israel, itself, into a Right-wing regional empire. Israeli is far more vulnerable now than it was before it demonstrated its very real limitations in Lebanon. Same for the U.S. in Iraq.

Mission failed. Now comes the whirlwind.

8. To the Contrary, Now They Intend to Implement the Real Plan....
...to completely dismantle government entitlements and social programs while at the same time exerting US military power to control flow of oil in the Middle East. (He who controls the oil makes the rules the rest must live by).

Cut off funding of government entitlement programs, support corporate profits while destroying the middle class, control elections, and exert military power in all areas of strategic interests. That is what we have to look forward to if we do not find a way to dislodge the PNAC promoters and actors from our government.

9. Hmmm. I'd like flesh that out a bit.
I believe the wheels for where we are today were set in motion after Nixon resigned; with a lot of Republicans (including Rummy and Cheney) deciding they wanted revenge and setting out to do it better next time. They started influencing everything they could reach with their tentacles. It's taken 30 years to change the media and position corporations where they are now; 30 years to corrupt our voting system. Other players have show up along the way (like the neocons, Rove) who have enthusiastically bought in to idea of a marriage of government, coporations and military with the Republicans in control forever while taking over the world.

That's what I think anyway.
