My wife sent this LTTE today...
:)

To the Editor: "The bottom line is that Bush was only doing what he swore he would do--protect this country and its citizens." (Letter to the Editor, 28 December 05). Article II, Section I, of the Constitution: I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, perserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Bush's job is to defend the Constitution of the United States and to act as Commander in Chief of the military forces--not Commander in Chief of the American people. He is obviously confused. His job is not to "protect the American people".

5. good luck with it, as we both know the hate-zette is very much pro-bush
even though they do print a few contrary letters now and again. each time they do, I thank them for at least pretending to be a real paper.
