I don't watch TV much, and I don't have cable. I do hear the ads for a lot of FOX crap on the radio while I'm communting, though. I was half-tuned out for the beginning of an ad which I thought was for an HBO special featuring Denis Leary. They ran together a lot of clips of the guy's one-liners, and I started to get confused. "Jeez," I thought. "I remember Denis Leary being funnier than this. More high-energy and manic, and not so...I dunno...lame. Plus if he was going to tell execution jokes, I think he'd try to make them funny, instead of just pandering...this is very sad, didn't he use to be good?"

And then the voiceover says, "Dennis Miller on HBO..."

And I went, "OH! Dennis MILLER! NOW it all makes sense!"

Miller is a one trick pony and his one trick has become hate filled BS. I find it funny that guys like Stewart and Colbert have taken the Saturday Night "Weekend Update" schtick to heights never dreamed of by Miller.
