George Allen's record is better than these two GOP racists's scores
Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 05:47 AM by Hubert Flottz
The urge to purge thousands of black voters in Florida in 2000 was the political race crime of the century...

Yet Jeb was elected again and so was Miz Harris. And so was W and so was Trent Lott...

Being a racist is just playing to the GOP base! The GOPers know what they have to do to get the votes and they go right out in public and do it over and over again. I'm glad that there finally is someone standing up to them boldly on this issue.

1. I doubt if you'll find many Jeb or Katherine fans on DU, but all the same,
I'm not letting Cement-Head Allen off the hook for his "macaca" remarks.

Allen's bad news. A philistine yahoo from the word 'go'.

2. I don't mean to let Allen off the hook either...
But I think that stripping 20,000 black voters of their right to vote in Florida in 2000, was a far more serious offense. I wonder how many of the voters that Jeb and Miss Harris cheated out of their right to vote, had won medals defending Jeb's country in the past wars?

No...I sure don't mean in ANY way to defend, or to uphold, George Allen Jr.'s gross misconduct.

3. Sorry, but macaca will not be enough to unseat Allen

Having lived in Virginia, I know that the white rural population will continue to support him. They feel sorry for him over the uproar.

4. Well let's hope they're smart enough to look at his sorry record.
And their wallets.

5. Hi, HF. I hear you on the grievous subversions of voter registration
fraud(s) in Florida.

Loud and clear. I think it would be great if Florida voters dumped the Republicans in as many state-wide races as possible. 'Woudn't hurt one bit to see Charlie Crist lose to either Davis or Smith. I'd take either Democrat, of course, over Crist or Gallagher.

And dear god let us please have Katherine Harris disappear from public (dis)service this fall.
