Something * supporters must understand
People say "we have to do whatever W says because 9/11 changed everything" and "we have to support the president in wartime no matter what." If a state of war is all it takes to make the president immune to criticism and the rule of law, then all the president needs to do to maintain the power of a dictatior is to keep the nation in a permanent state of war. Kinda like Bush is doing now.

2. Hello.
You'd think that people would realize this...but how many really consider us at war? One of the "selling points" of this "war" is absolutely no sacrifice by the average American. My mom told me during WWII gas and shoes and other things were rationed, people saved grease, held salvage drives, etc, etc. By not making Americans have to share in the sacrifice, and in hiding photos of coffins coming home, Bush has reduced this "war" to the equivalence of a video game to many.

5. yeah, do you remember . . .
. . . the front page of the newspapers during Vietnam? Sure made an impression on this teenager.

The photos that got published are seared into my brain.

And I sure remember seeing pix of coffins.

3. They evidently really dig war.
It's just reality TV to them.

They are soulless and full of ridicule for peacemakers. (No matter what Jesus said about that.)

I never thought I'd be typing this . . . but the draft needs to be re-instated. That would shut 'em the fuck up. They'll quickly decide it's only a great idea as long as the poor and the minorities are getting blown to bits.

DRAFT REPUBLICANS.

7. That IS pretty damned funny.
I liked it when he made mention of Dumbass reading "My Pet Goat" while the WTC was burning.

I've never heard Freeps even attempt to defend him on that. And flying around the nation like a big puss, for hours on end.
