What is the source of the hostility between the US and Syria?
How did Syria become a de facto member of the new "axis of evil"? What has it ever done to America?

4. Syria has financed and supported many terrorist groups over the years
And served as a Russian client state for many years as well during the Cold War.

The recent issues have to do with accusations they are supplying and allowing the supply of several of the various Iraqi terrorist/resistance factions.

12. They are lower on the PNAC list but I your point is very good
It is amazing how many "enemies" the world's lone superpower has despite having unparalleled power and an ocean, continents between most of its "enemies."
