2. Israel used saturation bombing with missiles and tanks
...the objective has been to terrorize the civilian population of Lebanon and Beirut and to create panic and mass confusion. Infrastructure targets like roads, bridges, airport make it nearly impossible for 300,000 refugees to escape, (much like New Orleans destruction following Katrina), so now the slaughter will begin.
