WTF? Pictures from Lebanon & Israel...
There was one similar from Iraq two weeks ago after they killed Al Zarqawi...What is it with older Arab ladies and hand guns?

A Lebanese woman wields guns as she celebrates the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers.

Also, does this guy look alive to you?

An Israeli man receives hospital treatment after being wounded during an attack by Hezbollah guerrillas in Nahariya, in northern Israel, near the Lebanon border.

3. LOL,, Tom
There is nobody on DU who's more predictable than you are. No one who more reliably spouts off the party line, and no one more incapable of looking at the situation without extreme bias.

7. In the Iraq picture, that old woman had been handed the gun by police.
I got suspicious when I noticed that the gun was a very expensive, especially by Iraqi standards, Glock. I hunted down the original and the caption said she'd been handed it by a policeman. Judging by the condition and quality of those firearms I find it doubtful that she owns those guns.

8. She looks old enough to have seen it all before. Don't blame her
for being a pistol-packing grandma. Just like our Katrina victims, she is on her own. Government is not going to help her. It's failed her repeatedly in the past. Peace process?

Nobody messes with their kids. Isiah Thomas' mom is their role model.

The above is not meant to be financial advice of any kind. I neither advise nor discourage investments of any kind-- ever. Do not ever take financial or investment advice, of any kind, from me-- ever. In fact, based on my past performance (SpaceHab, SpaceDev and Interpublic Group), taking financial advice from me is a guaranteed formula for failure. But then again, this is not financial or investment advice anyway.
