Everything!

This morning I saw a post, here at DU, talking about the Bush speech. I keep telling people His Royal Majesty is about as far from Divinity as it gets and this proves it according to the Renaissance approach that links creativity with Divinity. Bush stole the whole dam* thing! Do you realize in todays mainstream Christian culture that some will see his sexiest modification as a sign regarding women in high places? You can bet he read it google "alabama democrat" or just get a pet flying monkey to do it for you, like the king. If we don't start busting our asses to win over moderate religious voters we're up a creek without a paddle, as they say down south. Check that date!

PEACE ON EARTH AND GOOD WILL TOWARDS ALL!

It's Christmas Eve Day here at my house and my wife Paula is wrapping the last gift to put under the lighted Christmas tree. We have already traveled several hundred miles to see family and worshiped at our old family church in the Abanda Community with family and friends.

As we all pause at this special time, it is worth noting that at least for a day, most folks are not focused on the rough and tumble world of politics but are seeking a warm, safe, and loving place to be with ones they love.

As we respect all faiths and traditions, I would like to wish people everywhere a Merry Christmas and a Happy Hanukkah (Christmas Day and the first day of Hanukkah coincide this year).

The hope of Christmas to me is the coming of the Prince of Peace. In my own faith, this season represents Peace on Earth and Goodwill Towards All People and a full life of love, forgiveness, and eternal assurance.

Let's pause also at this time to offer a prayer for our troops abroad and for those that are sick, lonely and afraid. Let us pray for the many in our world who are hungry, oppressed, and yearning for hope of a better life. Let us pray for our leaders, country and world. Let us pray that our political process will be lifted up with good candidates and issues and debate that is meaningful and ultimately solves problems.

My hope today is peace, hope and goodwill for every person...democrat, republican, libertarian, independent, Jew, Christian, Muslim, Protestant, Catholic, Evangelical, Hindu...!

Regardless of our differences, let's pause for a day or two in peace and harmony.

Times will get tough for all of us in the next 11 months as elections and campaigns bring forth the emotion and human spirit in each of us, but let's not forget why we all participate in the democratic process. It is hopefully to secure peace, blessing and a better life for all people.

Blessings to All!

Joe Turnham

what if those monkey masters get Judge BIG TEN Roy Moore to run as emperor next time. At least it will get that freak out of Bama for a while.
