The jackbooted PIGS from DHS have assembled a "National Incident Team" to stop 20,000 Rainbow Children from camping on Federal PUBLIC Land. There's already been violence and it's getting worse.

Please call your Congresscritters and Senators and ask if there is ANYTHING they can do to get DHS to call off their dogs before we see a psychedelic Waco or Kent State this weekend.

psychedelic kent state.

People on my other board are pissing me off, saying they shoulda just got a permit and keep their heads down.

No, it's time for some REAL GODDAMN DISSENT and if it takes 20,000 hippies to do it, so be it.

This fight is about all of us...cause if they form an "Incident Team" for what amounts to a spirtual camping trip, what are they gonna do when we all show up in DC again for a peace march?

4. small clip from article with good description
The Rainbow Family is a "dis-organization," a collection of tens of thousands of souls who descend on some section of the country's national forests every July for a gathering to pray for world peace. Over about 30 days, no money exchanges hands, save for donations placed into a "magic hat" after meals. Food and clothes, cigarettes and joints are given away to those in need. There is a Kiddie Village, and every year at least a handful of babies are born at the gathering. No one knows how many are conceived.

Alcohol is generally shunned, and drinkers are restricted to a segregated area known as "A-Camp." The gathering has its own medical teams and peacekeepers.

The Family is at once a blunt representation of American counterculture, and also a cross-section of American society, counting attorneys and artists, doctors and drunks, military vets and mechanics, hoboes and homemakers.

5. Reality is that it won't do any good to call.
Bush won't listen to them any more than he would to anyone else. That's part of the reason that he's such a lousy president.

7. Thanks for the heads up! I'd like to know what Fatherland Security has to
do with Hippies camping and praying for peace. Fear of prayer? Fear that it might work? That maybe God is on the side of "make love not war"?

Why don't these STUPID COPS go protect a flag or something? What a complete and total waste of a boondoggle Bushite no-bid "security" contract!

Gray areas in Rainbow clash

Forest Service says officers were hurt in Monday confrontation

By Alexis DeLaCruz
Thursday, June 29, 2006

...snip

Ottaviano also said officers used pepper spray and nightclubs Monday to clear a large group of Rainbow Family members who surrounded them.

Ottaviano said one Rainbow Family member was arrested in the incident, although she did not know the person's name or what he or she was charged with. Ottaviano said three Forest Service officers sustained minor injuries in the confrontation.

...snip
Jensen said as she drove up to a Forest Service roadblock near the gathering site, a young woman, likely a Rainbow participant, was sitting cross-legged on the side of the road, with her hands behind her head and fingers interlaced. Jensen said a female Forest Service officer picked the young woman up by the belt loop and shirt collar, then "physically threw her into the ground, face-first."

...snip

Forest Service spokeswoman Diann Ritschard said Tuesday that she had "not heard one word" about the incident, and "had no idea" whether it happened.
