Tragic :(
A Marine and one-time recruiter who appeared in Michael Moore's documentary film "Fahrenheit 9/11" has died in a roadside bombing in Iraq. Staff Sgt. Raymond J. Plouhar, 30, died Monday of wounds suffered while conducting combat operations in Iraq's volatile Anbar province, the Defense Department said Tuesday. Plouhar, who was stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif., had taken four years off from active duty to serve as a recruiter in Flint after donating one of his kidneys to his uncle. He is seen in the 2004 film approaching prospective recruits in a mall parking lot.

5. Yeah, that sounded wrong to me, too.
Sacrifices part of his life for his uncle, and has the rest stolen from him by a corrupt business venture.

4. Sheeze. Every death is tragic, but when you've seen the person beforehand
it brings it home more.

Children, elderly, teenagers in pickups fighting for their homes, mothers, fathers, soldiers fighting for whatever they believe freedom means--every death is wrong, every one is unnecessary, none of them accomplish anything worth dying for. Hopefully something good will emerge in Iraq, soon, but it won't be because of the atrocities we have committed. It will be because the Iraqi people did it for themselves.

I can't even look at an American flag anymore. I always see it hanging loosely, and the bottom furl starts to resemble the hand of a dead child, with red blood dripping off a pure white cloth. There is no Hell deep enough for Bush and his band of butchers.
