12. I too am a crazy old cat lady

I lost my cherished Tesuque cat in May. I'm still miserable about it. I've faced the death of other cats, my parents, my brother, friends and lovers, but this has been truly difficult. I've become very philosophical about death, and thought I could handle it, always, but then Tesuque was in my life every single day for the past 17 years. He was the most amazing, loving cat I've ever known. I still have a house full of cats, but Tesuque was the one who always knew when I was upset, sick or sad. He was the perfect cat to meditate with, in fact all I had to do was have him in my lap and stroke his silky fur and my head went right into meditate mode. People have mantras, I had Tesuque. My misery is totally selfish. Tesuque was at least 17 years old, and not always feeling well. I think he hang in there as long as he could because he was given so much love from both myself and my husband. I just keep telling my 19 or 20 year old girl that she has to wait before she passes on because the death of one more kitty would be unbearable.

13. My clownish Marvin is like that..

He reads me like a book and is usually draped over my shoulder....

It sucks when we lose them.. and I know how hard it is for you now :hug:.. we lost our Skunkie to kidney failure a while back, and I still think of him every time I fill the water bowl.. He refused to drink until we put ice cubes in it... In fact, even though the other cats don;t ask for ice, we still occasionally put some in it ..as a remembrance of him :cry:
