while making dinner. It's All things Considered, I think. Anyway, they were interviewing someone about the soldiers in Iraq who apparently killed three Iraqis in cold blood. They were saying they didn't have the Iraqi's names, it sounds like they don't even know who they were. I was thinking some Iraqi family is missing their sons and they won't even know what happened to them, and they will be wondering if their sons were the ones who were killed. What kind of life is that? I guess the soldiers initially had said they thought the Iraqis had been detained and were running away, but that is not true. I am glad & surprised at least this information is coming out and they are being held accountable. Then the radio went silent, it was weird, I didn't really think about it, then it came back on and he was talking about how soldiers had killed other civilians, then planted AK 47 or some kind of weapons on them to MAKE THEM LOOK LIKE INSURGENTS. Then I connected that with the silents spot before and realized that something had been censored. Something even worse then planting weapons on civilians and saying they were insurgents. The lies we are being told make me sick, every once and while something slips out, but what is going on is terrible and these young guys are BEING TRAINED to do this terrible stuff, then punished for it if they're caught. Not that they should be let off the hook, but I think that is what their superiors want them to do, break the Iraqi people. Also I want to say, NPR is getting worse by the minute as far as being more conservative and hiding the truth, although they are more likely to tell bits of truth than corporate media.
