backdrop Bush has used for the last few years for every one of his photo-ops?

And yet, this is supposedly an event put on by the Merchant Marines. I suspect Bush's buddies provided the stage & backdrop for this -literally.

See what I mean? I just put in "Bush backdrop" in google images and look what pics came up:

4. Staying the course, even with the backdrops.
You are right, they do look the same. I wonder who the company is that does all the backdrops, and what kind of contract they have with them.

18. They could be doing them in the White House basement
Wide-format inkjet printers are not all that expensive anymore--three to four thousand dollars will get you a nice one. Hang one off the back of a PC, get a copy of InDesign...presto! All the backdrops you want!

8. My father was a Merchant Marine captain in WWII
His ships were blown up twice. Both times he went back to sea as soon as he recovered. One time he and seventeen
crew members were adrift in the ocean off Brazil for 31 days with little water and no food. When they were finally
rescued, he weighed 68 pounds. He never shirked his duty and he served with honor and determination throughout the war.

My father hated GWB. He is spinning in his grave this morning, I'm sure.

11. My husband, too, graduated from the Merchant Marine Academy
and was a marine engineer for 25 years. If GWB had tried something like this with him, he probably would have slugged him.

14. Howdy
from one MM family member to another.

I am surprised at what a hard time I am having with this today. My father truly despised Bush and what he has
done to our country. He would have been disgusted beyond words at this photo op. My father believed that Bush
was the ultimate expression of the dumbing down of our country.
