FBI to give police lie detector tests...
"The FBI will give lie-detector tests to hundreds of state and local police officers assigned to terrorism task forces across the country as part of a new effort to battle espionage and unauthorized information leaks.

FBI Assistant Director Charles Phalen said the polygraph program was launched in the past month at seven of the bureau's 56 field offices where agents are teamed with local police to investigate terrorism.

The polygraph tests are part of an ongoing security crackdown following the conviction of former FBI counterintelligence agent Robert Hanssen, whose spying activities for Russia and the former Soviet Union went undetected for 15 years. He was sentenced in 2002 to life without parole."

This is all a part of some elaborate game. Chess, for the real world. Right now someone is positioning the pieces and soon...checkmate.

1. Reminds me of Spy vs. Spy in Mad Magazine
This sort of paranoia and lack of trust just indicates the FBI knows they're leaking, so they've got to accuse somebody else of doing it to take the heat off.

Pretty soon, they'll be so busy policing each other, they won't have time for us.

5. fascinating
considering it's sociopaths who pass these tests with flying colors everytime because they cannot feel guilt or shame or even anxiety when they lie.So they pass.
And nevermind lie detectors are pseudoscience.

"Dead Kennedys Lie Detector lyrics"

We have reviewed your yellow form
Congratulations! we find you qualified
You have just the right capacity
For putting up with our nonsense
There's just one thing you've got to prove
We know how you must be dishonest and lazy
If you're so desperate
You actually want to work at this place

You must be guilty (lie detector)
Guilty (lie detector)
Guilty (lie detector)
Guilty 'til you're proven innocent

These days
Blood pressure clamps around your arms
Now don't get nervous when we yell in your face
We know you steal- Just who do you screw?
With what?!
With who?!?
Aren't you a Christian?!?!?
The polygraph-don't make it move
One little twitch, the anvil drops on you
Don't matter if you told the truth
We want your facial egg for our file

Guilty-'til proven innocent
Guilty-It says so on your face
Guilty-When you try to find a place to live or a job that pays
Guilty-Whe you file a complaint against the cop that kicked your face last night
Guilty-It says so on page 3
Guilty-Who'd think a guy like me would plant drugs in your car
Break in your house while you're asleep
Open your mouth, bet your ass you're watched
And it's your word against ours...
Yeah, just because we're hiring you
That don't mean we trust you at all
You'll have to take a test like this
Once or twice EVERY week
We know machines, they make mistakes
Yeah, it's your word against our dead black box
The machine is always right
'Cause we know how it makes you feel so small
Because you're guilty (lie detector)
'Til you're proven innocent these days
No one's innocent these days
'Cause when you're innocent it just don't pay

6. Did they get this from "the man with one red shoe"
When I was growing up they used to have jokes about the Germans, English, Russian, and Us all spying on each other in Germany's zones, and that they all would change the story just a little so they would justify their jobs and get paid. Pretty soon we are going to have a country where people make arms and look under beds and in mail to see what you are doing. It is sort of fun, right?

8. Federalizing local law enforcement is scary
to the extent local law enforcement is beholden to the Feds, they are not responsive to local citizens.

It becomes less likely that federal black bag operations will be uncovered by local police.

How many of these "unauthorized information leaks" involve disclosure of events that rightfully belong in the public arena?

9. Objectively, lie detectors (polygraphs)
are statistically no better than flipping a nice shiny penny. What a waste of time and man-power.

10.  One week after OK not to knock? One Party Rule going public?
Can't be a good sign.

Check your supplies cache. Make sure to stock up on, ahem, duct tape.
