FBI has al qaeda DNA will use it in Pakistan

FBI likely to test DNA of Pakistan victims

The FBI anticipates performing DNA tests on the victims of a purported CIA airstrike in Pakistan that apparently targeted al-Qaeda's second-in-command, a law enforcement official said Saturday.

At least 17 people were killed in the airstrike on Damadola, near the Afghan border. Senior Pakistani officials told The Associated Press that the CIA acted on erroneous information in launching the attack early Friday, and that Ayman al-Zawahri was not among the dead.

DNA tests to determine the victims' identities are expected to be conducted in the United States, according to the law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity because a formal request for such testing had not been made public.

A Pakistani intelligence officer told the AP that some bodies were taken away for DNA tests.

A counterterrorism official said that if al-Zawahri were killed, which is not yet known, it would be a devastating blow to al-Qaeda. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the information.

2. What a wonderful way to run a "War" -
Fire missiles first, use science later. We REALLY need a more "intelligent design" for the "War on Terra."

5. And what will they do DNA tests against ??
Did al-Zawahri give a sample of his own at some time ? Or, will they test remains against surviving family members of those killed and do a process of elimination. That being said - unconnected to known DNA does not prove al-Zawahri would have been killed.

Oh never mind.............we missed him again (drats!), OF COURSE

7. Where did they get all the DNA samples?
Don't you have to have something to compare it to? Do all members of Alqueda give the USA samples when they join?

11. What do world treaties say about taking DNA or do world treaties say
that you get to own the bodies of those you kill no matter what kind of declaration of war was used to justify the killing?
