To Sean Hannity: I AGREE with you (and the Jesus I know)
Yep, it's true. I do agree with Sean.

Tonight, I was playing with a hand crank radio I got for Father's day. Has AM/FM and shortwave. And I tuned into Sean. Listened to his show and realized we agreed on something. Well - I agreed with him, but he won't with me.

You see, he was talking about the marines who are in solitary confinement over the haditha incident. They have not been charged with anything as of yet. And yet they sit in an 8x8 cell in shackles. Innocent until proven guilty - and here these marines are being screwed over.

I agree - it is a shame. Not like the American justice system, or what it should be like that.

So yeah - we agree on that.

Then I thought about gitmo.

And I wonder what happend to innocent until proven guilty.

It's a human right things. Hell - it is an American value if you want to call it that.

I am willing to give our marines the benefit of the doubt. They have not even been charged with anything. So yeah, Sean, I agree the whole thing sucks. I am with you 100% on it all.

So....are you with me when other humans are involved? Sure, these folks we see as the enemy, who want to kill us all. But are they charged with anything and have they been proven guilty? Nope.

I want you to check out this video, cause this is the Jesus I know. Not the one the RW has thrust upon me (and I am a christian who grew up baptist, and was pentecostal of my own accord). Pay close attention to this video and get back with me.

Innocent until Proven guilty? I agree with you Sean. Jesus was in the same boat. The folks in Gitmo are in the same boat. Our marines are as well. I just ask one thing:

Be consistent in your outrage....

1. Military Justice...
...has never been the same as civilian justice.

4. The military required unquestioning obedience under fire.
Because anything else gets you and your mates killed. So, there is really no way civilian justice can apply to such a situation. Just couldn't ever work.

7. It doesn't
But that is how it has been since the Constitution was ratified.

11. So If They Start Up the Draft and Call Up Everybody…
…then the Constitution becomes altogether moot.

9. That's the rub
Those who serve in the military take an oath to protect & defend the Constitution, yet are not afforded the same civil liberties & protections as the rest of American citizens.
