U.S. Airstrike Targeted al-Qaida Hideout (50% chance, anyway)
DAMADOLA, Pakistan - An airstrike in a remote Pakistani tribal area killed at least 17 people on Friday, and a senior Pakistani official said the target was a suspected al-Qaida hideout that may have been frequented by high-level operatives, possibly the No. 2 leader Ayman al-Zawahri.

Citing unnamed American intelligence officials, U.S. news networks reported that it was a CIA strike and that al-Zawahri,
Osama bin Laden's top lieutenant, could have been at a targeted compound in the Bajur area or about to arrive.

There was no confirmation from either the Pakistani or U.S. government, but a senior Pakistani government official told The Associated Press that there is 50-50 chance that some al-Qaida personality was at the home that was hit in the border village of Damadola, about 125 miles northwest of the capital Islamabad.

A 50% chance of killing an al Qaeda member is worth 17 innocent lives. WTF have we come to? This is disgusting

1. Depending on whose news you are getting......
It's between 17 and 18, and there doesn't appear to be an al Quaeda in the lot......it's bloody time to stop this you know.

How many folks have to die for 9/11???

3. I want some pictures, some stories
of the family members whose lives have been destroyed. These bastards just think they can bomb brown people into oblivion, on a whim. There is little that makes me more furious than reports like this.

4. What would you do to another country who bombed/killed your
brother/father/sister/mother on a 50% chance that they were in need of being killed???? I think most of us would be on a lifelong vendetta "by any means necessary".

5. How is US bombing my parents' country now?
Is anyone fair game? Who were those seventeen people? Just more statistics in the "war on terror" and endless deaths of "number two's"?

7. It's unconscionable.
I want it to stop. And I fear it will only get worse :(

Great Zinn quote, btw.

8. I believe they had some bad intel
and they were too lazy or didn't want to risk boots on the ground to find out. Hell, they didn't even want to risk a helicopter in the air--missiles came from a f*cking drone.

bu$h Administration were to be imprisoned, terrorism would all but disappear in a few weeks?
