What to do about all the Gay Folks who are married with children?
And they come in two categories:

Gay men, who are married to women, who have children, and there are many, many men who are closeted and still involved in a supposedly "ideal" marriage, and, Gay Men, (or lesbian women) who live as a married couple, and are raising their own children.

Shall we make it a law that all Gay Men who are living a double life, married to women, cease and desist or face prison? Come clean and pay fines to avoid jail? Consider their marriage over, divorce by forfeit? What does the Bible have to say about all this?

And shall we make it the law of the land that all Gay Men OR Lesbian women living as a married couple be punished? Shall the children of these couples become wards of the state? Shall all their money be confiscated after they are imprisoned or executed?

We need to be thinking about these things as our nation becomes officially southern Baptist.

1. Well, let's see if I can put on my Neo-Con hat and try to explain......
Since they are living together as man and wife, they've made the choice to be straight like all the rest of "good" society. So by definition, they are no longer gay, because they didn't make the choice to be gay, they made the choice to be a "real" family. See?

/remove Neo-Con hat

AHHHHHHH! ;-)

6. Well, he was just weak in will. Satan got to him. So as long as he goes
to his local house of worship and repents, all is well.

OMG, I can't get the Neo-Con hat off.;-)

8. That's okay. As long as he doesn't shove his lifestyle down their
throats. Or wave his lifestyle in our faces. :sarcasm:

Hmm. Is 'lifestyle' a euphemism for penis? :+

2. I had an interesting conversation with my parents...
who are in their early 70's, and both grew up in very small towns in different parts of the country (both liberals).

They were commenting one day that they never remembered any homosexual/lesbian couples around in their day, guessing because they just stayed in the closet.

I said, wait a minute don't you remember any "old maid" ladies or "confirmed bachelor" men cohabitating.

After thinking about it a minute, they both did remember some. It was one of those things that everybody knew about, nobody talked about.

I said, well guess what, at some point, those old maids and confirmed bachelors decided they wanted the same civil rights as everybody else, as well they should.

3. Can I ask you a question...
how come you consistently capitalize "Gay Men" but not "lesbian women"? I'm just curious.

11. Can't see how it could hurt
to give Gay/Lesbian folks the same rights as others. They are people just like the rest of us who work hard and pay just as much in taxes as the rest of us. What I di object to are those who hide in the closet in the Bush cabinet, then slander others who are no different that they are, but don't try to hide their lifestyle.

12. I must secretly hate alot of people
I'm a lazy typest. And I spell phonicly. So there is no sure thing I will spell anything right. Add that with regular types... Writting details is somthing that I totally do not pay attention to. It's not a matter of respect or disrespect. It's a matter that I'm just not a 'writter' and writting isn't really one of my ablities. But something I have accepted that is part of a new way to have a modern 'conversation.'

In 'real life' we don't always pronouce things correctly. We ALL have an 'accent', etc.

14. Why would our new Southern Baptist government have any
problem with gay men being married to women? That's the goal, isn't it? Gay men are just as free as anyone else to marry -- as long as they marry a woman.

If the man is having "adjustment problems," then he can get some "therapy," which, as the Southern Baptists know , will help him leave his sinful temptations behind.

This is why Southern Baptists are always happy to learn that their daughter is about to marry a formerly gay man. He's already put his past behind him. No need to worry about the issue coming up in the future.

(Do I really have to use that sarcasm smilie?)
