Boy Scouts Honor Defense Secretary Rumsfeld
May 27, 2006 12:01 p.m. EST

Matthew Borghese - All Headline News Staff Writer

Washington, D.C. (AHN) - The Boy Scouts of America have presented their highest honor to U.S. Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

Rumsfeld accepted, saying, "I'm very honored to accept scouting's Silver Buffalo Award. Since its earliest days, the Boy Scouts have cultivated leadership and good citizenship, a service that has been recognized since the United States Congress first chartered the Boy Scouts back in 1916."

Rumsfeld joins an elite group of recipients, such as Charles A. Lindbergh, Norman Rockwell, Gen. Colin Powell, Walt Disney, Hank Aaron, Bob Hope, Vince Lombardi, Neil Armstrong, Charles M. Schulz and 14 U.S. presidents.

According to the Pentagon, Rumsfeld became a Cub Scout in 1941 and rose to Eagle Scout in 1949. In 1975, he received the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award, an award that acknowledges Eagle Scouts who have distinguished themselves in business, professions and service to their country.

1. An elite group that includes Charles Lindbergh
You mean the Charles Lindberg that wanted the United States to side with the Germans under Hitler. That's a recipient I would be proud to list.

2. Just another reason I will never give another penny to BSA
I am still registered as a Scoutmaster. I have given hundreds of dollars and many hours of service to Boy Scouts. I will never give another dime nor a minute of my time to this corrupt political organization. The are restrictive, bigoted, bunch of hypocrites.

Rumsfeld Shouldn't be Fired, He Should be Indicted
by Matthew Rothschild

“Secretary Rumsfeld has publicly admitted that . . . he ordered an Iraqi national held in Camp Cropper, a high security detention center in Iraq, to be kept off the prison’s rolls and not presented to the International Committee of the Red Cross,” the report noted. The Geneva Conventions require countries to grant the Red Cross access to all detainees. “

Recently it has been found out that even more detainees were "ghost detainees". The fact that Rumsfeld has not been charged speaks volumes. If Congress wishes to garner any respect they should move forward with Impeachment Declaration of Rumsfeld.

The US, Govt., Congress, and the Justice Dept no longer abide by the Geneva Convention or the Constitution of the USA.

4. That's strange, becuase he dishonors THEM
And every other American.

The only "honor" Rumsfailed should be asscoiated with are the words "Guilty, your Honor" at his trial.

6. The Boy Scouts
were always the bane of every state park I worked at. The leadership is almost universally inadequate and immature. But this just takes the cake. If I had young sons I sure wouldn't permit them to be indoctrinated and brainwashed by this corrupt institution.
