My son (who is home sick) just called me in to watch a stand-up show he had tivod on Comedy Central. It was Paul Gilmartin. He was bustin' on Bush big time. I was hoping to post a link to a clip from the show about Nukular weapons - but it is not there - feel free to check out the video on their site - you can hear a few zingers (e.g. he says that his main motivation for this stand-up routine was the day George Bush took office).

He rakes the Religious Right over the coals, "when are we going to stop letting the right wing ruin everything?!"

I didn't know he was doing this. Its very clever. He plays the worst kind of seemingly innocuous, corporate-Christian Republican, and he does it well.

Humor is one of the greatest weapons in pointing out hypocrisy, and it can be more effective in getting people to see the truth than a hundred unread diatribes.

He can be hired in this persona, and I hope he will be hired often.

3. He is a good Lib

He is often on the Bob and Tom Radio show out of Indy and gets grief for being a liberal. Good comedian.

4. I liked when he said, "I believe we should have attacked Afghanistan

with female pilots. I think there should have been a flyer that said, "This bomb brought to you by Jennifer, who drinks, smokes and has Pre-marital sex."

Good point there, very funny (if bombs can be funny)
