Hey, kids, let's play a little number game!
First, let's start with a simple number: 2,749.

In case that magic number isn't familiar, it's the tally most quoted of Americans killed in the terrorist bombing at the World Trade Center on 9/11.

Two thousand seven hundred forty nine.

Boys and girls, we're getting perilously close to matching that number of dead in a second terrorist action- at last report (the latest DU count I could find), there have been 2,436 American soldiers killed in Iraq since *bush attacked it.

Two thousand four hundred thirty six.

This means that they don't have very many to go before this little undeclared war has matched the number of American civilians dead with the bombing that began it all. By my calculations there are just 313 soldiers yet to be killed before the BFEE becomes exactly as deadly as the Tower bombers.

Three hundred thirteen.

And no, I'm not discounting all the collateral damage done- thousands of soldiers maimed for life, and many thousands of innocent men, women, and children, along with entire cities, destroyed in the process. As it's impossible to attach a number to this tragedy, we'll simply have to leave it at thousands.

Thousands.
Thousands.
Thousands.
THOUSANDS.

Any questions?

Not exactly a fun game, was it?

3. Could've had bin Laden delivered w/o a single bullet fired or bomb dropped
if the admin had only opened talks with the Taliban and provided evidence bin Laden was behind 9/11.

Imagine that.

6. I'm not sure it would've been that simple
But certainly overthrowing the Taliban didn't help us find Bin Laden. Then again, dropping bombs on Afghanistan was perfectly consistant with the last 60 years of US Foreign Policy. Certainly I can't expect these clowns to do anything better.

5. Counting Iraqi deaths, we passed that in the first week.
Its time to end this insanity and put the monster who lied to get it started, in a cage somewhere. Preferably somewhere where he cant do anymore harm to us and the rest of the world.
