Hilarious Freeper Post: THIS IS THE ENEMY!
This guy is coming unglued over Scooter-Pie's legal problems and blurts out "THIS IS THE ENEMY" with a picture of "leftist" head of AP and his wife looking like they are going to church or something...

That's it! It's all because AP reports on it, THEY ARE DESTROYING THE NATION!

What a bunch of fascists over there and geez, they don't make a bit of sense. This thread is one of the most delusional EVER!

3. Sounds like a Commie to me
"They must pay for their crimes and must be arrested after the next attack on the homeland."

Seriously, the only people I've ever heard sounding like that were Communist party members at a rally in Russia I went to in '95 or people who were quoted in stuff I read that semester. Sheesh.

4. What a crack up! Paranoia strikes deep...
That mentality is so juvenile... it's like getting mad at your mom for finding the pot in your underwear drawer... or at your s/o for finding that hot redhead's phone number in your cell phone... no one wants to blame it on the dirty deed doer, just the one who shone the light on the situation.

11. Man talk about a mind delusional fool, read this one

I would hope Libby was going for documents that showed Plame was not under cover or covert.

I would think if he couldn't get the CIA to release them, most certainly the VP would release them.

As far as the timing of who released what and when? I don't know unless notes were taken if the exact things Libby did could be recalled completely.
You have a guy working with the VP on a hundred issues a day 365 days a year for years. On something so small as Plame, he probably didn't remember every bit about it because it was not a major issue compare to the other more adult things happening in war and such.

It is an attempt to create a criminal act out of a non criminal issue by a special prosecutor who spent millions on an issue he should have wrapped up in 3 weeks.

Before this is over, should Libby get hit with something over nothing, if I were the President I would go out and pardon him and make this statement.

"I allowed a Special Prosecutor in the Plame case to verify if there was any criminal activity involved in how Plame's name was released into the press.
First, it has been discovered that only if she was covert could the criminal laws apply.
We have learned that she was not covert and that the release of her name in the press and any discussion about her and her husband were open game and NOT ILLEGAL.
We want good people to work for government and what this investigation has done is to take the best recollection of a good public servant like Mr. Libby and to turn his best recollection into a criminal act, which itself should be illegal to do.
I hereby pardon Mr Libby regarding the charges brought by the Special Prosecutor. Offering your best recollection in what was determined to not be a criminal matter should not become ever in any way a Federal charge or crime."

12. Actually, there's a new spin to this kind of Freeper behavior.
They are now considered brainwashed, and I'm not entirely sure that's a wrong assessment:

13. Freepers sure hate Jews.
Newhouse and Franken are hated in this thread. They pick out Jews to hate all the time over there.

Just like they did in 1930's Germany.

16. Only Jews they disagree with (or blacks, or Asians, or what-have-you)
With those of different race, religion, and/or ethnicity, most conservatives these days at least like to preserve the facade of equality and tolerance (except maybe for Muslims, although in my personal life, I've found quite a few Repubs who profess tolerance even of Muslims).

Colin Powell, for instance, or Condi, or the "good" Muslims in Arabia or Egypt.

It's only when someone is different than them does the bigotry come to the foreground. I suspect that, like conservatism, bigotry is rooted in a paradigm of fear and insecurity disguised as courage and strength. Freud would have had such a field day with the modern Republican movement, wouldn't he?

I must repeat that to myself about a thousand times now so that it's readily available for future use. I've been looking for years for a short phrase that would convey this concept so perfectly. Thank you.

18. I've only visited a few times, but I'm becoming a fan of their work.
I guess I have a thing for simple humor. You know, the kind of stuff we used to get from Bill Murray, or, more recently, Ben Stiller.

Gosh, how did we intrepid DU'ers miss these in your-face-demonstrations?

I appreciate the comedic value today, because, although they are hate filled and vicious, there has always been the element of buffoonery.:) MKJ

21. So if the AP is a propaganda organization...
then why do every news outlet in the country, including the freeper's news station of choice, Fox News, quote them as a source 9 times out of 10?
