Stephen Colbert humor reminds me of Abbie Hoffman.
Abbie was the consummate back-bencher. He could hurl a zinger like no other at the political establishment. Where Abbie had to do this from the street Colbert has found a way to do it within twenty paces of Bush. To his face. On television. On the internets in infinite reruns. I haven't felt this good about a fellow human being in a long, long time.
