There is only one of three possible conclusions on Alito.
Either he has amnesia or he has Alzheimers or he has a galloping case of hypocrisy.
Given the fact that he can't remember what clubs he belonged to in school but can remember them well enough to include them in his resume; can't remember where he has invested his money well enough to notice the name of a company who is about to come before him even though he was grilled about recusing himself?
Looks like a galloping case of hypocrisy to me.
Clearly he has lied in the past. Senators who pretend that he's not lying to them and everything is hunky-dory had better be prepared for the incoming flak from angry constituents if Alito gets on the Supreme Court and starts helping to mute, overturn, and cancel our rights.
4. I love to argument that he was just doing his duty as an advocate
attorney trying to kill Roe v. Wade during the Reagan years. LOL. Like he was offered the job and they didn't know he was on their side. I wonder what all those liberals Reagan hired in the WH are doing now?:sarcasm: They must think we are idiots. Attorneys working in the WH are not the same as the people you hire from the Yellow Book. So why does the media pretend they are?
8. What about his contention then that the Constitution does not protect
the right to privacy in regards to legal abortion? I have seen only clips of his answers to questions rather than the hearings in full. From what I saw this morning, he seems to be pretending that it was a different issue in his position during the Reagan years than it is now.
6. he's just a garden variety extreme Right winger, if you look closely
so all three apply. Add in that Right wingers typically don't actually believe in the Constitution as an earnest, so they don't bother to really understand it well, and voila- Alito.
Did you see how he "controlled" the room at the start by taking his sweet time filling his glass, arranging his papers and taking a drink? Gag,it reminded me of an old Ally McBeal episode. I bet his co-workers are jumping up and down at the thought of his leaving.
