Condi Rice and Supboena: What happend..didn't see it on MSM
Dear All,

I read yesterday on AOL that Condi got subpoenaed. What do all of you know and did you hear it on the MSM channels? I told my mother but she didn't believe it because she didn't hear it on the 5:30 news. What's happening with this?

START THE REVOLUTION
START THE IMPEACHMENT!!!

4. Why, because of her inability to tell the truth, her willingness to bend
all ethics for her "husband", because she is a representative of the most corrupt, evil, and ineffective US government ever or because she represents women and African-Americans in the worse way ever? Just curious.

7. well, for starters....
condi would be guaranteed to do better than the 9% of African-Americans the GOP candidate traditionally gets....she would better the 45% of the women's vote the GOP normally gets. These are the two big Democratic constituencies.

Might help a bit with the black vote until people show some pictures of people drowning in NO. That might put a damper on things. Also, I think that voters are going to RUN from anyone from this horrible administration. I would worry about McCain much, much more. Also fundies do not consider it biblically correct for a woman to be in such a position of absolute power. Save your anxiety.

12. I think
black folk would recognise, quite rightly, that they were being manipulated aka being treated as though stupid and so not necessarily support her.

I suppose a few Texan cows might support the old moo out of sympathy for her husband.

5. She's black and a woman
The two qualities Republicans voters will never consider Presidential. Don't worry, she wont run.

11. I think blacks would to a degree
far greater than 9%. I think her being black would trump her being a Republican.

14. blacks aren't stupid...
despite what you seem to think. Condi's being black will, if anything, play against her, since blacks are very distrusting of other blacks who sell out the black community.

A black voter won't look at Rice and say, "Oh, because she's black I'll vote for her." No, he'll think, "This woman served as a little Steppin' Fetchit for one of the most disatrous Presidents for the black community in decades. When Katrina struck, she didn't express any sympathy or do anything for the victims; instead, she went shoe shopping. Fuck her."

I never implied that blacks are stupid, but I am saying that for some the idea of a black female president is very appealing and would trump politics, and I think that number would rise above the nine or so percent of blacks the republicans now get

18. But I don't think that will happen in the numbers that you suggest.
Only a few fence riders would be swayed. I can't see an overwhelming wave of people running to vote for her based strictly on the fact that she is a black woman. One Ad, containing her own voice saying," Osama Bin Laden determined to attack within the United States..." would kill her shot.

21. Well, your black numbers are going to go down after Katrina.
And Rice should be fired. I think "we" should accuse the GOP of the "soft bigotry of low expectations."

19. Condi will be forced to define "traditional hijackings" and explain her
inability to connect the dots in the months leading up to 9/11.
