Looking for crafty ideas

I've been collecting the little nylon mesh bags that produce sometimes comes in to avoid adding them to the trash pile. I'm now trying to come up with ideas on how to use them. My thoughts are running along the lines of stitching them into dish scrubbers or washclothes. Does anyone have a good use for them?

1. that works, also if they are suitable, take them to the store with you instead of

getting more plastic bags to bring home groceries

if you garden, they make good bags for tying up melons too

or strainers for almost anything you may need to strain

I like that for the produce since the checker can easily see what it is and the ID numbers. I'm thinking of those mesh onion bags.

Been good. We've been working out in the yard getting the ditch cleaned out before the water starts. And I've been hanging out in GD-P a little. But not as much as I used to. DU makes me feel kind of wiped out these days. So I'm also reading much more than in past years. And that's thanks to DU, actually. I was never into non fiction like I am now. I sprinkle it liberally between the fiction which is still my favorite.

Hope it's all good for you and Mister K! I think of you two out there in the country and how you made the dream come true.

1st round of radish are are gonna be ready in about a week, the peas are growing like gangbusters

so far i have 3 maters, a bunch of radish, carrots, lettuce, an eggplant and a bunch of broccolis and 5 sweet peas

There's nothing like fresh tomatoes right in the garden. When we'd have the cherry tom's, I couldn't make it out of the garden without eating some. Heaven.

2. make a little soap holder

hang it outside by the water spiket in the summer. That way after yardwork or gardening you can wash up outside easily. Use little chunks of soap, add little water and press to form a larger bar. Insert in bag and tie it off. I will be where rain may get to it may want to put it in a waterproof container handy to the water.

12. My mother (the queen of frugality) used to make pot scrubbers

out of them. She would fold them into rectangles about 3 x 4" and then stitch around the edges and from corner to corner. They made excellent scrubbies. You can also use them for suet hangers in the winter.
