49er's Bruce reaches milestones in beating Rams 17-16
Edited on Sun Dec-21-08 05:51 PM by AsahinaKimi

Isaac Bruce reached a pair of milestones in a late-game flurry in his old stadium.
Both helped the San Francisco 49ers in an improbable comeback.
Bruce became the fifth player to reach 1,000 catches on a 3-yard touchdown grab with 4:12 to go and passed Tim Brown for second on the career receiving yards list on the 49ers' go-ahead drive in a 17-16 victory over the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

The Rams (2-13) squandered a 10-point lead for the second straight week, failing to capitalize on four turnovers and four sacks while losing their ninth in a row.

Mike Singletary new Head Coach for the 49ers with a 4 year contract!!

On a sad note, Joe Starkey who was the niners broadcaster for 20 years has retired. We
will miss you Joe!

New Era for the 49ers with Jed York running the Niners, lets hope things turn around for the SF 49ers!

2. It's encouraging...
though what they really need is someone who can evaluate talent at the pro level. Bill Walsh and John McVay were great at that (it's not all about arm strength or speed or size, but heart and the commitment to be coached too). There are holes on the O-line and Secondary to fill, and one wonders if Sean Hill has what it takes to excel in the post season.

But yes, it's great for Singletary. And encouraging to see the 49ers playing so much better.
