Thyroid disease
I had my overactive thryoid destroyed with radiation in 2005. I have been on synthroid ever since.

It doesn't look as though I am going to be able to get Armour Thyroid, even though my doctor is willing to switch me from synthroid to armour.

Does anyone else here take another medication, other than synthroid, that is readily available? I am trying to find something that works better for me. Synthroid has caused me to gain a great deal of weight, and to have some memory loss. There has to be a better medication. As I have said, my doctor is willing to try alternatives.

5. I am taking Armour now.
I am not as bloated, and my memory is better. I will be looking for a weight loss plan in the spring. Trying to start something like that during the holidays is pointless. I need to lose about sixty pounds, which is a lot. I wonder if anyone here with a thyroid condition has lost that much? I can't stand being this heavy. It affects every aspect of my life and health.
