2. I'm in shock. Keith "surfaces" for another unmentioned cameo.
Wonder why he trumpets it when he's on other shows but when he was on this one and Surface, he said nothing.

I don't get HBO so I can't watch it even if I wanted to.

Tell me, what's the deal with that show? Am I mischaracterizing it? I got the impression at first that it played the "domestic problems" of a guy with several wives for laughs, but from what I have heard, it appears to be getting more serious and dark. Before that, I got the impression that the main theme of the show was "You gotta sympathize with those poor polygamists, they have three times the woman trouble at home, ha ha."

3. That's what I thought before the first season started.
But, it's really not like that at all. It's more dramatic than I thought it would be. There are some funny moments. The youngest, third wife cracks me up sometimes.

They have to constantly hide their marriage. Then there are the other polygamists who live on a compound where the main character, Bill, grew up. Their children struggling with the lifestyle.

I know this season, they are focusing more on his first wife, Barb, trying to deal with not having the influence over all of them that she used to. She's like the wiser, more stable one.

Really good show.

4. At times it's like a Utah version of The Soprano's
All the different wheeling/dealing/shadiness/backstabbing going on...you know what the a character is doing is sooo wrong but you still love to watch them do it!
Question: Doesn't Time Warner own both CNN **and** HBO?? If so, how funny/cool is it that HBO let an MSNBC journalist (and his show) be on one of THEIR shows instead picking one from CNN...guess even Time Warner has to admit their anchors suck.

5. It definitely sounds like there's more to it than initially met the eye.
Sort of like it's yet another story about a family that is not necessarily the role model everyone wants to follow (as in Sopranos) but whose ins and outs are interesting to watch because of the complexities of living this outlaw kind of life.
