Guess Keith canceled a DC book convention appearance last weekend...
Happened to find this on the blog of a single mom in Indiana who calls herself "a full time sales rep for a book company" and attended the Book Expo America in DC last weekend:

Dr. Ruth was in our booth as was Barbara Fairchild. I also met Cooper Lawrence and Mirielle Guiliano. Keith Olbermann was supposed to sign for us and canceled and we had some angry folks because of that. Oh well.

Given that she says Barbara Fairchild was in her booth and Fairchild also publishes with Wiley, it's safe to assume this woman works for Wiley and that Keith was supposed to be at the expo to promote his upcoming book, but for some reason was not able to do so. (Um, Keith, for how long did you know about that Subway Series? Come on.)

Don't read too far along into this blog, though; you might get annoyed. She also comments at one point: "Cindy Sheehan is here today, won't be visiting her. I might spit." Not to mention gets all gooey over having met Tim Russert.

2. Craig looked quite boyish on his last appearance, did'nt he?
Looked like he'd lost weight. Maybe he can't eat so well with his right arm immobilized.

3. So was Ted Kennedy.
Here are some photos. Next year's expo will be at the Jacob Javits Center in NYC. KO, write another book!

4. I'm likin' Craig with his hair longer, too.
I'm hoping he doesn't cut his own hair and that's the reason he's letting it grow out , but it seems longer lately and it's lookin' cute.

I agree with the idea of KO writing another book. If the Expo is in NY next year, it should be much easier for him to get to! (assuming he can be dragged away from whatever baseball game he's tempted to go to instead).

I wonder if he's moving this weekend at last and that's why he's taking so much time off and being indefinite about when he'll next see Dan Patrick. Like we all agreed, he's likely having an easier time of it than a guy who's dependent on his three friends with pickups who he's paying in pizza and beer, but that doesn't mean he wants or needs to be absent during the entire procedure either. I've heard too many nightmare stories connected with professional movers who ruined or lost people's stuff and they had to go after the movers to get them to compensate for the loss.

Keith's a smart man to keep his most valuable valuables locked up elsewhere, but what's the fun of a collection if you can't have at least part of it on display and live with it around you a bit? If I were him, I'd be supervising my move like a hawk.

Oh...and what were we saying about Craig Crawford again? :loveya: Nah, I don't think he had anything going at the Expo because it appeared the goal was to promote books not yet out, not those already on the market.

5. And don't forget his most valued possessions:
the hermetically sealed KOEB Tie Collection! :toast: TTTTB!

I HATE moving.

6. Oh, I forgot to ask:
How come long hair works on Craig, but apparently is a disaster on Tom Hanks?

7. It's the Mystery of Male Hair. Don't try to figure it out.
Well, it probably helps Craig a bit that his hair appears to be naturally straight while Tom's appears to be naturally curly. Curly long hair does not, to my mind, generally look great on men.
