Ok, it's time to decide when we're going to do this thing. I only used the Friday-Sunday dates, but maybe we could make it a three-day weekend & arrive on Thursday? (just a thought)

Although we don't get President's Day off, so I'd have to come back anyway. :)

2. fyi for those with flexible schedules

the first 2 weeks of feb are bad for sharon, & the last week of jan is bad for crispy.

3. Either of the last two would work for me, but

we don't get President's Day off either. I might be able to take the day off, but I'd already be taking Friday off and would have to play it by ear when it gets closer. Also, the extra night's hotel might be too expensive for me, unless by some miracle hubby gets a job.

Also, didn't someone say that hotels and airfare would be more expensive that weekend? That's one of the reasons I would prefer the later weekend, but I'll do whatever the majority wants.

On edit: I'm thinking take Friday off and come in in the a.m. so we'd have a good part of Friday without an extra hotel night, but I don't know what works for everyone else.

4. I chose President's Day

for no particular reason. Any one is fine.

I'm still unclear if we're flying into a specific airport or all staying in the same hotel and just meeting there, and where does Jersey fit in? Somebody hep me, pleeze.

6. I think once we pick a date, we can then decide whether to

stay in NJ or NY and where to stay. I assume people will fly into whichever airport they can get the cheapest flights into -- some may be LaGuardia and some may be Newark.

We just got home. It went just fine. Not much political talk, so no arguments. Even the MIL wasn't too bad.

Hope you had a good one. It's a whole lot warmer where you are. It's 15 degrees now, but it's supposed to be 60 on Monday. Gotta live Michigan weather. If you don't like it, wait a minute.
