113. Debra Saunders is on the RW talking points about 85% of the time,
but there's that other 15% where she doesn't, and where sometimes some decency shows through, that makes her not seem beyond redemption. And she's married to a liberal, just like Mary Matalin.

Is it another example of RW shills jumping ship all ovah the place? Or just, as you say, chance.

Speaking of which, Carville's been kinda silent lately. Maybe I've just been missing him on the shows, but something tells me he's trying to avoid Mary questions.

Oh, and I think Cruella Harris and Mary share the same stylist.

Cheney, Libby & Miller - all in Jackson Hole, August 2003
Edited on Mon Oct-17-05 12:59 PM by dave29

http://www.jhzone.com/viewinfo.cfm?ObjectID=2A504341-A7... (this is the current page... to see the original do a google search for "cheney" "august 2003" "jackson hole")

The incident marks the second time in two years Blackhawks have created a stir in Jackson Hole. Helicopters transporting Cheney around the region on vacation in August 2003 landed on the Puzzleface Ranch in an area protected by a conservation easement, drawing criticism from some residents. The area is home to to nesting osprey and other waterfowl, including trumpeter swans.

http://darrelplant.dailykos.com/storyonly/2005/10/16/14...

In answer, I told the grand jury about my last encounter with Mr. Libby. It came in August 2003, shortly after I attended a conference on national security issues held in Aspen, Colo. After the conference, I traveled to Jackson Hole, Wyo. At a rodeo one afternoon, a man in jeans, a cowboy hat and sunglasses approached me. He asked me how the Aspen conference had gone. I had no idea who he was.
"Judy," he said. "It's Scooter Libby." "

Amazing coinkidink

At which point I intend to print it out, hovering over the printer eagerly with a highlighter.

Crazy work hours and all. My boss calls it the dungeons. I tape the show and try to watch live Friday nights. Cept last Friday my internet broke. When I am around I am running the photo contest for this month. Teach me to take pics of bluebird fledglings finding the birdbath for the first time. At the rate work is going I may be back about Dec. 23 when winter break starts. Though the good news (I think) is my boss put me in for a $1 an hour raise. In this economy figure it is a good thing for the boss to even try. Course not planning on it since it goes through the admin and well in my state our schools are the wicked step children to Gov. Whiner and they get beat because he didn't get his slot machine. Maybe the horse racing industry here might try to back a Dem. next time.

114. Okay, I found this.
"Unlike elected officials, the end of Fitzgerald's first term as U.S. attorney does not necessarily mean he must leave office on that same day. Although Fitzgerald's term officially ends in late October, if he is not re-appointed by then he remains on the job until Bush nominates another prosecutor and the Senate confirms that nominee."

http://www.thestate.com/mld/thestate/news/special_packages/election2004/12239742.htm

Can all this then just (gulp!) stop in the middle? Hopefully this will all be concluded soon and the re-apointment will be moot. Even so, if the * Administration chooses someone else to take over :scared: then I think maybe there will be riots in the street. At least I'll be rioting.

I watched the show. I'm just too keyed up about Plamegate to even think about anything else. Great show as usual. I really enjoyed the interview with the Styx musician/ White Sox fan, and Keith did too, big smiles. Ariana was great too, huffingtonpost.com has had great coverage of the treasonous WH and Judy Miller.

I'm meeting a fellow DUer from my town on Friday because we are both Plamaholics. Hopefully by then we'll be discussing the revelations of the already handed down indictments and not still discussing our theories as to what is going to happen. I can not stand the suspense a minute longer.

130. I think I read that he did, after all, he was the one Rove said Plame was
'fair game' to, an incriminating remark if there ever was one. Then again, it was said to Tweety after Novak had already outed her, but speaks volumes about the mean spirited excuse for doing so. Her husband crossed us, she's fair game. What a bunch of criminals, it is just mind boggling. I am a bit worried after reading a diary over at Kos about what happened to Lawrence Walsh after he brought Iran Contra indictments. However, this fiasco reminds me much more of the Nixon downfall than the Raygun scandal. I think Fitz will have learned some valuable lessons from both Watergate and Iran Contra and is prepared for whatever they'll throw at him once he indicts.

This is a pretty comprehensive look at his, Russert's and Andrea Mitchell's role in the whole thing. Maybe he did, early on, and signed some waiver, but when I google it, nothing comes up. Apparently if he has, he hasn't mentioned it to anyone. Most un-Tweety-like behavior, if you ask me.

144. given Fitz's reputation for thoroughness, he must have.
It's been said that Tweety is the one who warned Wilson that his wife was considered "fair game", no? Whether or not that conversation ever took place, it's been so widely rumored that it happened that I think Fitz would have wanted to talk to Tweety based on that alone, just to see if it was true. Because if it is, I'd certainly want to know how Tweety got the impression that Plame was "fair game" and just what else Tweety might know about the Plame case.

150. He said it came directly from Rove.
And I think he probably did testify too, although I find it strange that he hasn't said anything about it. In that Kos diary I posted, it postulates that he's keeping it silent so he can write a book.

152. No, Tweety's been covering the story himself a lot recently.
The book theory is interesting. I wouldn't be surprised!

154. Nope.
Tweety's still talking about it.

I think David was hosting while Chris was away. I don't know if he was on vacation or on location (I didn't pay too much attention).
