Favorite Daily Show correspondant...

My vote is for Stephen Colbert. I think his "This Week in God" segment puts him over the top. But I love them all

...but this is a no-brainer, as I had acted with him in college and community theater. I've followed his career in every non-network show since EXIT 57 in '95.

So what was he like to work with? One of my favorite segments he did - I can't remember exactly what it was about, but it involved the British royalty and a banana. It was hilarious because he could not get through it without cracking up, and he had Jon in hysterics.

I heard him say somewhere that he loved to crack Jon up. He seems to be a very intelligent guy, and pretty stable for a comedian. Is that true?

...and he was a professional, even twenty-some years ago. I don't know how he ended up at a small liberal arts college with a tiny theater program, but he left after two years for Northwestern and Second City.

Yeah, he was very intelligent and grounded, and devastatingly funny whether the comedy was light (The Good Doctor) or black (Oh, Dad, Poor Dad, Mamma's Hung You in the Closet and I'm Feeling So Sad).

I liked when he was reciting his diction exercises. Then I noticed in the next few weeks that he got a wee bit tongue-tied during one of his segments.

He is still the best.

is wonderful. I have never seen anyone be able to keep a straight face as well as he does....Stewart will be close to being convulsed with laughter and Colbert will just stare him down.

I love all of them though.

But she made fun of a Dennis Kucinich meet-up, which I didn't appreciate, since he was my candidate.:-(

And "This Week in God" is a favorite of mine, as well. Is tonight a repeat? The listings say that the guest is Seymour Hersh, but he was on fairly recently. But if I was voting for favorite guest, I think that Hersh would get my vote.:D

19. Stephen Colbert is brilliant. I admit, I DO own all 3 seasons of Strangers

with Candy and, I also admit, I paid for them (usually, if I want to watch something, I just download it - uhh, THAT'S one thing I shouldn't admit on a public forum, eh?).

Ed Helms is definitely second.
