Tuesday, May 4: I worked out today--did you?
I decided to NOT try another 3 miles again and to run 2 miles but to try to pick up the pace a bit. I shaved 4 minutes off my 2 mile run, and felt pretty good while doing it.

I also went into the strength equipment room and did my usual upper body and ab routine.

1. 30 minutes jogging, 20 minutes fast walking . . .
I will never get why some cars barely pull over as they approach you and others swing wildly to the other lane. . .seems like there ought to be a happy medium.

2. I took everyone's advise on my bored thread.
I went out for a walk. There were some hills so I did manage to get my heart rate up. Some woods too. The best part was the fresh, cool air.

3. Wow, four minutes is a lot to shave off!
Good work!

As for me, it's a cardio day, so I did Kathy Smith's Power Step Workout DVD and tacked on the abs routine of CIA 9806 (VHS that I have it queued to that part).

20 minutes HIIT on elliptical machine. Pretty good workout.

Tomorrow is lower body day. Reign in the pain, I can't wait.

7. Walking and yoga again.
I am trying to get my energy level up. I am eating better, cutting down on the caffeine and doing workouts that promote relaxation and balance. The workouts are so mellow, I am beginning to get twitchy. Will probably do something more strenuous tomorrow or the next day.

I also went to the health food store, bought some herbs that I thought might help. The cleansing herbs are making my mouth taste funny. Guess that is the toxins coming out, but yuck!

8. Same old, same old.
Nah, it's still plenty of fun to ride my bike! Logged another 12.4 miles at the Veloway. Focusing on cadence has made my muscles more sore so it must be a better workout! :D

10. Yes,
weights for chest and back, Abs of Steel 2000, and I did something different for cardio: I did a 25 minutes high-intensity intervals on the elliptical then immediately went out to walk my usual 60 minutes. I am trying to do something about my pear shape.
