Sun City Girls anyone?
If you're a fan you're probably aware that the great Charles Gocher died last year from cancer. This year, the two remaining members, Alan and Richard Bishop, are touring in tribute to Gocher. For those of who know the band but may not have seen them, this is as close as you'll ever get again. For those of you who have seen them, you already know how incredible and bizarre they are (seeing them for me was a life changing event). If you don't know the band...well, they're really, really strange, and can be quite difficult to get into. Once you have though, the treasures are just waiting to be unearthed for you.

Most dates will feature an opening 40 minute film of Charles Gocher's video experiments followed by two sets of music. AB and RB will be performing Sun City Girls songs as an acoustic guitar duet. This tour will most likely be the only time this show will be presented as such and is a tribute both to Charles Gocher and selected music from the 27 year legacy of Sun City Girls. West Coast dates begin in May. All other US and Canada dates begin in June. A full list of shows will be presented here as they are confirmed.

2. Indeed.
My friends and I went to the Cambridge show and it was amazing. It honestly felt like Gocher was there in spirit. There was a picture of Gocher behind the brothers as they played, and after one song Rick Bishop looked back at the picture and nodded his head. It was a cool night.

Here's a bunch of videos of The Brothers Unconnected shows.

Have you heard the Uncle Jim CD "The Superstars of Greenwich Meantime"? My friend put this page up with some Uncle Jim (both with and without SCG). The title song of "Superstars.." is pretty much the coolest song I've ever heard. :)
