So how does everyone feel about the new movie, "Guess Who?"...
Is it putting 'back' IR/Multi-ethnic couples or is it a good thing that a movie like this is out there now?

Anyone?

Bliss:)

1. I just think it looks like a stupid movie.
But aside from that, I guess it's okay. I wish they didn't have to point out every mixed couple in everything. It's silly. I know I've talked about this before but when you watch shows on the BBC there are tons of mixed couples and the fact they're mixed has nothing to do with the plot at all. It's just a non-issue.

2. LOL! I agree with you!
It does look stupid, and silly--I ALSO wish that it was more of a non-issue than it is made to be in American films (sigh)...maybe someday.

I guess they just found a way to capitalize on the popularity of Bernie Mac and Ashton K.

3. It looks dumb, but I'll see it anyway.
BF and I saw the trailer when we went to see Be Cool, and while it looks silly, there were a couple of moments when I giggled my ass off because I was reminded of little experiences we've had with my family.

We'll probably go see it. No doubt we'll get strange looks when we buy tickets. :P

4. Just saw it tonight
And was pretty nonplussed. There were a couple of funny minutes, but mostly overblown stereotypes. I didn't exactly go expecting a true update of the classic, but based on some of the reviews, I guess I expected more.

I don't think it will do much to portray interracial couples in a positive light, but probably won't do major damage, either.

5. A possibly sucky remake of "Guess Who's Coming To Dinner"
was my first thought upon seing the commercials for it.
I liked the original - but I am witholding final judgement on "Guess Who" until I actually see it.
